100% Reduction in Fertilizer Use, 50% Decreased Water Use, 100% Increased Corn Yield, & 583% Increased Forage Yield on Corn in Colombia
Date: September 2021 (summer)
Place: Francisco de Paula Santander University – Ocaña, Colombia
Details: The Kyminasi Plant Booster (KPB) was installed on corn fields in order to carry out thesis work at the Francisco de Paula Santander University of Colombia.
Results
Two fields that were 1 hectare each were planted with corn in the same soil with the same management conditions and established protocols. The corn plants that were treated with KPB produced two ears of corn per plant and were an average of 282 centimeters (cm) in height and 2.76 centimeters (cm) in stem diameter. In comparison, the control corn plants produced one ear of corn per plant and were an average of 105 cm in height and 1.78 cm in stem diameter. The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, MSc. Daniel Hernández, reported that the KPB-treated corn had better color, size, and health than the control corn. The KPB-treated corn plants had more leaves overall, and the leaves were bigger and wider than the control corn plants. There was reduced pest damage and a lower incidence of armyworms observed with KPB use.
Corn quality improved with KPB use, as there was an increase in Brix degrees by 3% and a decrease in titratable acidity by 1.25 pH. KPB increased the nutrient density of corn forage and improved protein content by 2.65%, fat content by 0.64%, and mineral content by 3.45%. KPB improved the shelf-life duration and palatability of the corn and forage. Kernel protein levels increased from 1.04% protein per weight on the control field to 3.70% protein per weight with the KPB technology.
Overall, the KPB increased corn forage yields by 67,992 kilograms (kg) even without the use of any fertilizers. This was a 583% forage yield increase and over a 100% corn yield increase with KPB. It is clear that the KPB caused increased growth and vigor of corn. The incredible yields with KPB were achieved even with 50% decreased water usage, improvement in water use efficiency, and the reduction of water use by 94,770 liters.
Greater Vigor & 35% Increase in Foliage of Corn in Colombia
Date: September 2020 (summer)
Place: Ibague, Colombia
Details: Kyminasi Plant Booster (KPB) technology was installed on 1 hectare of corn in Colombia.
Results
Despite having only 22 days of growth after germination and only four drip-irrigation applications with KPB technology, the corn plants produced 35% more foliage than the control plants. The KPB corn stalks grew to be 15 centimeters taller than the control corn. The KPB corn stalks were thicker and developed a darker green color than the control plants. Overall, the KPB corn had better development and growth, a more abundant root system, and greater foliage production than the control corn.
81% Yield Increase & Greater Growth of Fodder Corn in Ecuador
Date: November 2021
Place: Riobamba, Ecuador – Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (ESPOCH)
Details: The Kyminasi Plant Booster (KPB) technology was installed on a fodder corn field at ESPOCH in Ecuador.
Results
The field that was treated with KPB produced corn with an average height of 4.20 meters as compared to the control corn that was an average height of 2.06 meters. The historical yield for this area and cultivar of corn ranges from 45 to 50 tons / hectare. With the KPB technology, the corn field produced 86 tons / hectare. This is an 81% yield increase of fodder corn with KPB use. As a result of the increased yield, this farm can now increase the number of animals that it can feed.
